This course is designed for developmental editors, book coaches, author consultants, and story professionals who want a structured way to analyze manuscripts and guide revisions using Plottr Pro. It may also suit experienced writers preparing to add developmental editing services to their business.
Professional editing experience is helpful, but it is not required. Participants should have a strong understanding of storytelling and a serious interest in manuscript analysis, developmental feedback, and client work.
Yes. The course teaches workflows built inside Plottr Pro, so participants will need an active Plottr Pro account throughout the six-week program. Plottr Pro access is purchased separately.
Enrollment includes six live online sessions, practical demonstrations inside Plottr Pro, course resources, assignments, access to session recordings, and the certification assessment. Participants will also have opportunities to ask questions and receive guidance from the instructor.
To earn the Plottr Certified Story Architect credential, participants must complete the required coursework:
Attend or view each week’s lesson and submit your completed homework via the appropriate channel. Make adjustments as needed and participate in at least two live conversations (video participation is not required). Bonus points will be given for students who attend and present during the final week’s session as one of their sessions.
Passing score of 70 for certification.
Each session will be recorded. Participants who cannot attend live can watch the replay and complete any related coursework before the next session. Live attendance is encouraged because it provides access to discussion, demonstrations, and instructor questions.
Participants will receive access to all course recordings for lifetime after the final session. This gives you time to revisit demonstrations, review the material, and complete the certification requirements.
